What we are doing to keep you safe in our escape rooms
WHAT IS GOING ON?
The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as a pandemic. We are yet to see how widespread the disease is in Minnesota, or how widespread it will become, but we are taking every precaution possible to both be able to stay open and ensure every person coming through our door is safe.
For the time being, we will be staying open, but we will update this page and all our social media if this changes. We will not remain open if us staying open is at all a risk for our clientele.
The governor updated his guidance to close entertainment functions. We will not be accepting any new bookings for March 17th through March 27th per this instruction. You can book events for March 28th or beyond. As this information changes, we will update our social media and website.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP
Disinfecting Rooms Between Each Group
We do our best at Escape Challenge to keep our location clean. We have always taken pride in making sure your escape room is clean. It’s also flu season in Minnesota, so we already too cleaning seriously. During this period, we will be extra vigilant in disinfecting the rooms between each mission. This will add time between resets, so we ask that every group show up at least 10-15 minutes before their booking so that we can start on time.
We will also have laminated most paper with easy to clean surfaces for all written materials in our escape rooms.
Hand Sanitizer
We always provide hand sanitizer in every room. We ask that you utilize it before you enter the room and while you are participating in your challenge. The rooms are wiped down and disinfected between groups, but use of hand sanitizer is an extra precaution.
Private Escape Room Bookings
We normally allow any group with 6 or more to select private booking for no extra charge. For the foreseeable future, we will switch to allow all groups of 4 or more to be private. You must select the “PRIVATE EVENT” button when selecting your group size. If you have questions, please call us at 507-722-2728.
Vouchers for Missing Group Members
You think there might be ten people in your group, but you aren’t sure? No problem. Book 4 tickets and select private. You can pay for any additional when you arrive. If any members of your group are feeling sick, leave them at home. If you book 4 tickets and one person gets sick, we’ll give you a voucher for the missing ticket. No need to make them come sick.
Hassle Free Rescheduling
We normally require 24 hours to reschedule a booking, but we will be changing to give you the ability to reschedule any booking up to 4 hours before a booking begins. We know that everyone is under a lot of stress and we in no way want to increase this.
Stay Home If You Are Sick
If you are at all feeling ill, please stay home. Let us know as soon as possible and give us a call at (507)722-2728, or e-mail us at Nathan.schroeder@theescapechallenge.com. Your health is of the utmost importance.
Show up on time
We will be less relaxed about allowing a group’s time to start late during this period. We know that things come up, but resets between groups will take us additional time for cleaning, so out of respect for other people’s bookings, please show up 15 minutes before your booking starts.
Do not panic and keep yourself informed
This is an unprecedented event that is happening, and we want everyone to stay as informed as possible. Keep yourself informed by checking out items from the World Health Organization.
